Day trips are lovely, specially in a beautiful and warm Summer day. And when the town is full of history, gorgeous homes and friendly atmosphere, it makes the trip more inviting. Here I am, back talking about Summer. Well, I have to post those photos of Sag Harbor.
Sag Harbor is a beautiful and cozy town in Long Island, New York. It is a perfect place to a quick getaway or just to spend the day.
We visited the Whaling Museum and the Custom House Museum.
I really don’t know how we did the last one, but my son managed to behave better than I expected.
We just strolled through the town, looking at the stores. A lot of window shopping, not much shopping. We just enjoyed the beautiful Summer day back in the beginning of August.
Yes, I am definitely missing those Summer days. Beach days, pool days, no schedule days, ice cream days, day trip days and just lazy days!!! Flowers, sunflowers, or just Summer flowers. I am still thinking Summer. I guess it didn’t get cold enough to feel or dress like Fall. Despite the fact that we have been yet to a couple of Fall Festivals, in my heart, I still feel Summer. So, here it goes. My lovely and beautiful Cold Spring Harbor in the beginning of August.
I have been so late with my post that I am still in June here in the blog. Anyway, it is Summer time and I am keeping myself and the kids extra busy. I thought it was worth to post those pictures of one our day trips back in June.
First, we made a stop at Harbes Family Farm for a quick bite and where the kids played for a lit bit in the playground.
And then at Patty’s, Berries and Bunches to buy some fresh berries and enjoy their delicious ice cream.
The farms are located right across from each other on the North Fork of Long Island.
Before, heading back home, dinner at Love Kitchen Lane, where we found delicious food and a kid friendly atmosphere.
